Compari's Trattoria - Los Angeles

I was told about this beautiful little place on Centinela Ave about 15 years ago and I fell in love when I enjoy Italian that it is not a chain and the fact that it remained open in the pandemic is a test of food and loyalty from It's customers. My favorite is the house speciality pasta with a spicy sauce and chicken, shrimp and another meat.

Quaint little place that we LOVE to go to within walking distance to our apartment. The staff is super friendly, very welcoming. The food is delicious my favorites are chicken pesto pasta, Cajun pasta, chicken parmesana and of course the pizza.

We have just eaten there, it was great. The zucchini starter was lovely and set the tone for the main courses. Aubergine Parmesano and a Chicken Parmesano on spaghetti, a spaghetti marinara and the special Portobello mushroom ravioli with creamy lemon sauce were all winners. Clean plates from all of us.

I have set myself on a mission. I am going to try at least one new eatery a week and it must be a Mom&Pop place, NO FRANCHISES! So, today I was craving Italian, googled Italian near me , and found this gem nestled in a two business strip mall. The husband and wife team were very welcoming. I ordered the Al Limone dish with fresh basil and garlic added. It was delicious. The sauce was creamy and light. The pasta was perfect and it had a nice amount of chicken and mushrooms. Oh, did I mention it came with two large pieces of garlic bread! YUM If you 're craving ITALIAN, Compari 's Trattoria Pizzeria won 't disappoint?
