This is not your typical pasta joint. We had spicy pomodoro and corn pasta, and each pasta dish is conceptually thought out and showcases technical finesse. I felt elevated after the meal. Not cheap but worth every penny in my opinion. I'd go back.

Meal was absolutely amazing. However, we did have to wait 45 minutes after our reservation to be seated. Additionally, wait staff took a little longer than normal to get drink orders or food orders but overall service after that was good food was amazing.

Terrible food. Michelin is such a scam. The fried quail dish was not browned on the outside, had a horrible presentation and was cold. Enough to remove any star rating. The pasta spicy marinara rigatoni dish which I was told to choose over the carbonara as it was their signature dish was indebile mush. I even requested al dente since I had just returned from 2 weeks in Sicily and was so spoiled by the perfect texture everywhere. I was assured it would be. Out came a baby food tasted out of a can mush. One star is clearly meaningless in LA anyway. Next we split a seam bream Orata whole fish. Though fresh it was tasteless and watery and poorly presented. The server was very casual and nice and accommodating. The sparkling Italian by the glass was very well chosen. The ambience is warm and fun and pretty. The hood gentrified and diners mostly Hip Asians as is the kitchen.
