There have been several times living in the area, even for family events, the location is a little old style even if it has been refurbished, the kitchen is that of my grandmother, even the herbs! the structure is also hotel and often I happened to dine with the guests. If you don't have great claims and want to eat a little like once the place does for you.
We were guests of dear friends a Sunday at lunch, in this restaurant-hotel a little gray, anonymous, with large parking, located in the center of a village of the countryside of Alta Padovana. I must admit that everything we ate was not so bad at all, indeed it was quite good and tasty on average. If I were to refer to the quality of only food in the strict sense, it would certainly deserve the 3 balls. But I must also say that all the types of dishes that have been brought to us, the way to cook them, their flavors, their combinations, their presentation in the dishes, and all the environment of the restaurant as a whole (it certainly not enough to have recently changed the only bar that serves as a bar at the entrance), are really démodé and a little depressing. Even the way of serving at the table of the waiters, although all kind, was that of the 1980s. That it was not and is certainly not negative in itself, indeed. But I didn't think there were places like this, without the typical actual care: cute but sdrucite napkins; white fabric chair covers but almost all dirty with grease stains; loose toothpicks all together, so don't seal one by one; wipes that didn't clean anything. Here there is a lack of evolution of tastes and a non-adaptation to the high modern quality. People who attend this place are local, of simple and traditional tastes. I think it is only suitable for community ceremonies and events. I would never come back.
We stopped at this restaurant for dinner. Very kind staff, risotto rosemary pumpkin and really great asian. Good value for money.
We stayed in this hotel-restaurant for a lunch of a charity. I know that recently the entrance was changed-renovated (including the counter and the whole bar room and I have to say very pleasant... The restaurant, instead (as a hall it seems to have stopped in time to a 80s style, with wallpaper on the pretty walls, but maybe a little dated... Food: very good the hot appetizer, which included hot polenta with mushrooms and pumpkin cake and potatoes. The first between high and low, like risotto with saffron and Asiago, a little insipid (in the sense that cheese almost did not feel... , better instead the marble bigoli: classic but good. Seconds: a good beef cut with potatoes, stopposa instead the orange duck. The service: present and professional, the recovery is not lacking, indeed. Overall, a great environment that goes well for banquets or ceremonies, but that would perhaps need a refreshment to the furniture (baths included! and a division of the hall (maybe some separeés would be required to better organize the spaces...
