I ordered two tacos, one with shredded beef and the other with ground beef. The ground beef was so overly salty that it was inedible. I didn't want to ruin the experience for the young couple who came in after us and ordered the same. My wife's veggie burrito was also overly sweet. Even the diet Coke was undrinkable. Instead of sticking around, we decided to leave. I hope they can turn things around, but it doesn’t seem promising.
I absolutely love this place! It has a wonderful atmosphere and delicious food. The staff is fantastic, the owner is friendly and an excellent cook, and the cocktail menu is always impressive. It’s truly a hidden gem that everyone should visit!
This place has a great vibe and offers excellent drinks with an ambitious menu. However, the food didn’t quite live up to expectations and could use some improvement. When I visited on a Friday night, there were only five other people there, which was surprising. The service was outstanding, though, and I would definitely consider returning. This spot is cool enough to deserve another chance!
We went here for date night tonight and this place definitely exceeded our expectations. The waitress was knowledgeable and what she wasn’t sure of went and asked the chef. I got the New York strip with rice and greens and the greens were seriously the best I’ve ever had! We got the short ribs for an appetizer and they were defiantly tasty. All in all great service great food.
First time to this restaurant and it was okay. I had the boriken burger with tostones, unfortunately it was not that great. But on the bright side I did have one of the Ramen noodle soups the spicy shrimp and it was spectacular I also ordered the short ribs which I thought was coming with some type of Asian sauce but it did not... they were still pretty good. For dessert I tried their cake which was pretty much a German chocolate that I could have probably gotten at Sam's club... Nothing authentic about that. I like the overall low key feel that the location had even though there's no authenticity to the name Boriken . Overall I would go back for the soup.
