Roberto's Dolce Vita

My husband John and I had an amazing dining experience at Roberto's on Long Beach Island. The food was delicious and the ambiance was cozy and welcoming. Thank you, Robert, for another fantastic meal. We can't wait to return! There is ample parking available this time of year (October) and the service was great. We had dinner and dined in.

Wow, this place was amazing. I grew up in an Italian family and am typically over critical of Italian restaurants because they don't use my grandma's sauce. It wasn't a problem here. While it wasn't my grandma's sauce, everything was prepared with the care my grandma put into her cooking. It was most definitely one of the top 5 Italian restaurant meals I have ever had. The room was perfect, the service was excellent, and the food was old Italian lady quality. Robert was awesome and was at the front of house greeting people as we walked in and circulating the dining room throughout the evening. I felt like I had been invited over an old friend's house for an expert home cooked meal. This is the perfect culinary experience for everyone, even if you think your grandma is the only person that can do Italian food right.

Food was bland. We waited an hour and a half, when we asked our waiter where it was, she had a bad attitude. She is also the manger!

This is another spot I'm surprised I haven't reviewed yet. This is one of our top two favorite dinner spots on LBI. We have to come here every time we are here! Robert is an amazing chef and host, always checking on diners and pitching in to help the servers when they're short staffed. Everything I've eaten here is fantastic. I do tend to lean toward pastas with seafood, while my husband tends to order chicken or veal dishes. These come with a side dish of pasta with marinara. We are always satisfied with our meals and always have leftovers to take home. All meals come with a small salad and bread with oil with fresh garlic included. You can always add a protein to the pasta, even if it doesn't show on the menu. It's BYOB, so bring your favorite wine and enjoy your dinner!! And leave room for dessert, they always have great choices, and have coffee and cappuccino (including decaf cappuccino!! as well.
