I ordered a blueberry fruit smoothy, which was quite tasty, and the vegetarian crepe. My boyfriend ordered a beef crepe and we split a dessert crepe. The crepes are light and fluffy and presented really nicely with a side of melon chunks, blueberries and pomegranate seeds. My veggie crepe was quite flavorful and had a really nice vinaigrette inside. My boyfriend said his beef crepe was good, but that the side of fruit didn't compliment the smokey barbecue flavours. The dessert crepe was the star of the show filled with ice cream and Ferraro Rocher candies and topped with chocolate sauce and whipped cream. The prices $5.50 for a veggie crepe and $7.50 for a beef one) were absolutely reasonable. I'll definitey be returning.
Top Quality!. After demetres closed we had nowhere to go for GOOD crepes, so we decided to try out cafe sentral. Their crepes are top quality! They are fresh and the presentation is as good as if not better than demetres. I have never had a bubble tea before but since it seems that bubble tea is one of their specialties, I tried a chocolate black tea with these tapioca balls. It was very good! we will definitely be regulars at cafe sentral.
Will definitely return, especially for dessert!. Used a Groupon deal to try Cafe Sentral out. We enjoyed ourselves and will definitely go back. <br/ <br/ The blueberry yogurt drink was exceptional. I don 't know what the secret is but I could never make a smoothie at home that tasted quite so good. The $4.99 pricetag felt high until I tasted it. Yum. <br/ <br/ We had two savoury crepes: chicken ranch and the steak. Both were good, but the chicken was better. They were not served at the same time but that was ok with us. The generous sides of fruit were a pleasant surprise. <br/ <br/ Then we shared a dessert crepe, strawberry banana hazelnut. Terrific value and the vanilla ice cream is possibly the best I 've had. Again, I have no idea what the secret ingredient was but wow I 'll be back for more. <br/ <br/ Music was good, service was extremely friendly. <br/ <br/ Have only minor constructive criticisms. We found it difficult to plan a complete meal. Savoury crepes as main and then another crepe for dessert is kind of overkill. Maybe as a 'cafe ' it 's not supposed to be a full meal restaurant, but we might be more likely to visit more often if we could get perhaps a set menu/combo with smaller portions for $10 $12 each. If I could be sure we could have a complete meal for 2 for under $30 with tax tip this could become a regular mid week thing for us. <br/ <br/ The decor 's nice but it feels sparse. Maybe they need plants or something just to warm it up a touch. I 'm sure it 's just because they 're a little new. <br/ <br/ In summary this is a nice in between place, kinda fast food and kinda full service. London doesn 't have a lot of good midweek options and Cafe Sentral is a step in the right direction.
Taro Bubble Tea and Chicken Crepe After The Bar!. The best late night snack after the bar. Good music, chill atmosphere and awesome food.
I bought the $11.99 crepe bubble tea chips combo. The store opens at 11am on weekdays. I came in at 11:15am and the guy was perfectly ready to help me. This place is the only place I've seen sell hot bubble tea. He recommended original, almond, and coconut flavors for hot bubble tea. I'm drinking the almond one and it tastes great no gritty ness. The bubbles aren't sweet though (otherwise they would get five stars). There's soft music playing. I got the most expensive crepe (smoked salmon), but even so I think I only saved maybe two dollars by getting the combo. The prices are fine considering that it's a place you can sit down for a while. They have a couple board games along with free WiFi. My crepe came with a mini bowl of grapes and banana chunks. Inside the crepe there was smoked salmon, spinach, cream cheese, onion, and maybe mayo. It was served hot and tasted fine. The chips are just the snack size ones, and you can choose from flavors like Lays Ketchup, Ruffles all dressed, etc. This is a nice place! I hope they add more pot tea options in the future, like Sweet Dreams in Waterloo has. They do have hot fruit tea (refillable pot for $7.49), which I'd like to try later. Would be happy to come again. PS: they charge $0.50 for each extra bubble tea flavor (I don't think tea shop 168 does this) and the standard $0.50 for tapioca or jelly.
