The Half Moon, Herne Hill - London

I stayed in a cozy double room for two nights and was pleasantly surprised by how luxurious this property was given its reasonable price. It's located in a charming area of London, with a lovely market right outside on Sundays. The city center is just a short train ride away, making it very convenient. Breakfast, which was included, was absolutely fantastic. The amenities were top-notch; the shower was particularly impressive. The addition of dressing gowns, slippers, and complimentary water was a thoughtful touch. Overall, I would rate this place a perfect 10/10 and highly recommend it!

The staff at this restaurant was exceptional! They greeted us with warmth upon arrival and maintained that friendliness throughout our visit. Any request we made was promptly addressed, and they went above and beyond our expectations. The rooms were lovely, featuring excellent amenities and unique decor. We also enjoyed a fantastic meal at the pub, where we spent an evening with friends enjoying dinner and drinks. The location is perfect, away from the hustle and bustle of Central London, yet just a short train ride from all the main attractions. I would highly recommend this place to any seasoned traveler seeking an authentic experience. While there was some street noise during the day, it was very quiet at night.

We live locally so we've been to the Half Moon a handful of times for meals which have always been lovely, but the service we received when we decided to have our wedding reception at the Half Moon was truly above and beyond. Tucked in the back was a perfect private space for our small reception. Ann Marie truly could not have been more helpful in coordinating our day. On top of that she helped sort out the accommodations for our families in the hotel which helped ease our stress. The day of the reception was perfect the room was the perfect space for an event, the food was amazing, and the entire staff were so lovely and attentive. I cannot recommend them enough. We will forever be grateful for the role the Half Moon played in our special day.

This place is a hidden gem! From the outside, it looks like an ordinary pub, but once you step inside, you'll discover a fantastic restaurant in the back. The atmosphere is really cool, featuring exposed pipes and hip music that sets the right mood without being too loud for conversation. The service was outstanding—friendly and efficient. I tried the fry-up since I visited on a Sunday, and it was fantastic! Generous portions came with all the right sides, and the price was very reasonable. However, the dessert was a bit of a letdown; nothing special to rave about. Overall, a great experience!

The place was error-free, the pub had such a good atmosphere, felt like a real london pub! all were very friendly to the girl who was on Sunday, the 7th august on the writing, she was amazing, so helpful! she is not paid enough that the perfect stay came back!
