Seven Park Place By William Drabble

Lovely lunch. Our first visit and really enjoyed it. We had the A La Carte menu and asked for pairing wines. The wines matched the food perfectly. There is an exceptionally well priced set lunch with optional drinks package which seemed superb value for money so definately worth a try too. The restaurant was very quiet which was a shame as it affected the atmosphere; definately deserved to be busier. Staff were lovely.

The restaurant is rather small but it didn’t lack atmosphere. The service wasn’t the best unfortunately. When we turned up we were only offered the food menu and had to ask for the drinks and wine line list. This led to us being presented with cocktails with our first course of food which for us, wasn’t a good combination. The Gourmand menu was nice, simple food but we felt as though it could have been improved with a few more dishes. Each course didn’t disappoint. The courses come out very quickly so we had to ask to slow them down half way through to avoid finishing the 6 courses in an hour or so. That said, the food was superb and didn’t disappoint.

We had a fabulous dinner with wine pairing. The staff was excellent and the food was great.

Having eaten here previously, it was disappointing this time to have no amuse bouche or petit fours, very unusual for this class of restaurant. In addition, the French fries were very reminiscent of standard supermarket fare and clearly not homemade, again, underwhelming.

Amazing food and service, the restaurant is my absolute favourite can’t wait to go back.
