Obicà Mozzarella Poland Street

Food was good, service mediocre. Were surprised by a 12.5% service fee.

The wait between the starter and main course was frustratingly long, taking about an hour. Some members of our party had to leave early for our next reservation to avoid losing our table. The automatic service charge felt excessive at £40! When it was time to leave, I didn't have the opportunity to contest the fee or negotiate a lower amount, so I reluctantly paid it, but I regret doing so. The starters were enjoyable, but the main course was somewhat disappointing. Overall, we spent £45 each for a cocktail, a starter, and a main dish.

I really enjoyed my meal, especially the nougat parfait, but I was disappointed when the bill arrived. The prices listed on the menu don't include tax, which meant that my total was about 20% higher than I expected. I found that quite frustrating. There may have been a note about this somewhere on the menu, but it wasn't clear at all, which felt misleading.

Obicà is one of our favorites—everything was perfect! Carlotta was an exceptional server, and everyone was so friendly. The service was impeccable!

I’m afraid to say Obaca did not do as well as in previous years. The service was dreadful and half our food wasn’t served at all even when reminded they just took it off the bill. The food was mediocre but the ambience good. So no recommendation from me sadly.
