TL DR: I highly recommend coming here just for the smells, once you're over the smells you can taste the soul and passions that goes into the wonderfully thought out and creative food menu and drinks. Known as “Evanston's Only J Bar” amongst my friends, there's always a great atmosphere and a great time to be had at Ward 8. I tried the walleye fish dip for the first time last night after always giving it the side eye. It was amazing. Other favorites are the cheese board, and the French onion soup. My drink of choice will always be an Old Fashioned, and the giant square ice cube it comes with only adds to its appeal.

Jeremy is a fantastic guy and a great bartender, and the drinks… So so so good!
