Golden Ox Family Diner - Lodi

The restaurant is clean both inside and out. However, the staff could be friendlier for the prices they charge for their food. The portion sizes are quite small; given the cost, I expected a more generous serving rather than something that feels child-sized. We visited primarily to see the train, but the dining experience could definitely be improved.

We had a fantastic breakfast today! This charming local spot provides a unique dining experience that's quite enjoyable without being overly loud. We both ordered omelettes, and they were delicious. The service was good as well; the two staff members on the floor—an older gentleman and a younger woman with brown hair—were attentive to cleanliness and kept the diner tidy. Thank you for a great start to our day! This place has a fast service model, allowing you to place your order before being seated. I’m giving it four stars because we didn't receive the water we requested until the end of our meal.

This is one of the few places where you can still enjoy a good Denver omelet and a side of French toast without spending a fortune. I usually call ahead to place my order and pick it up at the window. Crystal, the waitress, is fantastic—always cheerful and friendly. I typically wait about 15 minutes after calling before my food is ready. Just a heads up: if you need any plastic utensils or takeout containers, be sure to ask them about the new regulations in California. I've only tried their breakfast, and it's always been delicious. Overall, it's definitely a great spot to eat.

So happy that I gave this place a try! I love the model trains and airplane decorations! The food was delicious! The staff was very pleasant as well. I highly recommend that if you want a relaxed environment with fresh, well prepared food, come here!
