フィードバックを提供するWe decided to dine at Fenix based on positive reviews on Yelp and a recommendation from Open Table. We made a reservation through the Open Table website for a table in an hour. Shortly after booking, I received a call from the restaurant asking if we could arrive 15 minutes earlier. I explained that it was not possible and suggested rescheduling if it was an issue. Despite being reassured that it was not a problem, when we arrived at the restaurant, we were informed that they would be closing early and could not accommodate us. Another couple ahead of us had a billing issue that the staff was unable to resolve, and they had been waiting for a manager for a while. This couple also mentioned that Fenix would be closing permanently on September 3rd. Overall, we were very disappointed with both the restaurant and Open Table.
The meals at this restaurant are skillfully crafted and elegantly served. The prices are fair given the exceptional quality of the cuisine. I strongly suggest visiting this establishment to witness the chef's expertise firsthand; it will be difficult to find a superior dining option in the area!
On Saturday night, the restaurant was understaffed. The $50 ribeye steak had a strong liquid smoke flavor and I only ate less than half. The twice baked potatoes were lukewarm. The creme brulee was served as a liquid instead of being properly congealed.
Had the filet mignon, which was awesome. Tasty sides too. Service was great.
The service was awesome. The hostess, and three table servers were excellent. The food was also very very good. The local wine selection is top notch!
