The Welkin - Liverpool

We went for breakfast around 10:30 am. We ordered the full English which was very bland and lacked flavor. It was a shame because it was well presented. My wife had the same dish but with scrambled eggs, which also lacked flavor unless we added tomato sauce or brown sauce.

My twin brother Stephen and I visited The Welkin Pub in Liverpool City Centre on a cold November afternoon. Despite the rain, we had a great time at this Wetherspoon pub, which is set over two floors with bars on both levels. The decor and furnishings were typical of Wetherspoon, with an astronomy theme adding a unique touch. There was plenty of seating options both inside and outside, offering views of the bustling shopping streets nearby. The atmosphere was lively, and we enjoyed pints of Sharps Brewery Doom Bar, which were served in top condition. The pale ale had a well-balanced flavor with hints of toffee and a delicious aroma. As members of C.A.M.R.A, we were able to use our ale tokens for a discount on our drinks, making it even more affordable. We ended up staying for another round before leaving, as we always have a great time at The Welkin Pub. Located on Whitechapel, the pub is open from early morning until late at night, making it a convenient spot for a drink in the area. Overall, The Welkin Pub is a great choice for quality beers and a good atmosphere.

When we visit Liverpool, we typically like to try a Wetherspoons, so this time we decided to visit the Welkin. It was a very busy restaurant that seemed to serve a lot of food. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Visited whilst on a break in Liverpool, this Wetherspoons was very good , I had a steak which was well cooked and a great size, partner had mixed grill again well cooked. Quick service and excellent value for money.

Although I live in Blackpool I have been traveling to Liverpool at least once a week for the last six months. I watch in amazement the quick turnaround when ordering the breakfast served by friendly highly motivated staff. The food is excellent and the bottle beers I drink Desperados) are ice cold. This is not always the case in every bar. I also would like to give a special mention regarding the manager John). I have never seen a manager get stuck in and work as hard which is a great example to all the staff. I could not speak more highly of John and the staff.
