For our appetizer, we had a mixed kimchi platter, which consisted of four different types of Korean-style fermented vegetables such as cauliflower, cucumber (the best of the bunch), and radishes (which we found to be the least appealing). We also asked the owner for her recommendation, and she suggested the stir-fried noodles, indicating we should order plenty as they are quite delicious. For the main course, we opted for spicy rice cakes (tteok-bokki) and eel bibimbap. At first glance, the portion of the rice cakes seemed small, but, like many rice dishes, it turned out to be quite filling. Flavor-wise, it was good, though its texture truly stood out. The eel bibimbap was very tasty, but we did note two issues: the eel still had quite a few bones, and the bowl wasn't hot enough, which meant it didn’t develop that crispy rice crust typically expected from a properly served bibimbap. Our total bill, including a 50% discount from the "Eat Out to Help Out" program, came to £19.35 (or £38.70 before the discount) for two people. Overall, the restaurant provides a solid representation of Korean cuisine, good value for money, and an exceptional, welcoming service that feels almost family-like. Thank you, Ming (the owner)!
Liverpool really needed a good Korean restaurant, so discovering this place was a pleasant surprise. The menu offers a great selection, and the food is quite enjoyable. The portions are very generous, and the aromas are delightful. It's truly satisfying to enjoy bibimbap served in a proper hot stone bowl. The restaurant is clean and has a lovely atmosphere, and the staff is wonderful. I will definitely return sometime to try the hot pot!
I enjoyed a great meal with friendly service. I had an amazing eel teppanyaki and a delicious bibimbap. The honey zitrustee was a delightful surprise and added an elegant touch; I really wish I knew how to make it! The restaurant has a spacious layout, perfect for accommodating larger groups. I would highly recommend it.
Very happy with the Korean food. visited week and easily got a stand, seemed popular with Asian students. the waiter seemed a little grim, but not excessive so and the service was still good, senior personnel manager was very friendly and helpful. would recommend this place 4.5 5
