We stopped here for hot chocolates and tea cakes on our way up to the cathedral. Beautiful cafe with friendly staff. They also sold lots of home items, with some amazing Christmas decorations! Definitely recommend!

Sanctuary in the Bail offers a peaceful escape from the everyday stresses of life. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by the friendly owner, Stephen, and his welcoming staff. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious dishes made with high quality ingredients, carefully prepared to be both visually appealing and flavorful. There is no rush to finish your meal, and guests have the option to reserve a private shed with blankets for added comfort and privacy. The restaurant also features a shop selling a selection of gift items such as jewelry, pottery, and candles. Additionally, there is now a covered outdoor area where guests can relax and enjoy their dining experience.

Just returned after an amazing baby shower held by stephen and the staff. Food was excellent and so much! Truly stuffed and the special touches of lit candles on the tables was lovely. Been here loads and never a bad meal or atmosphere. Definitely a place to visit. Thanks Stephen x
