The Oakroom - Limerick

This café is a popular choice for those looking for delicious and affordable food. It is conveniently located across from the church in Adare town on the Limerick side. The menu features a variety of freshly baked goods and other deli options.

Visiting family in my parents home town of Adare. Took a wander towards the Adare Manor gates and spotted The Good Room. Pretty building like many of the Adare cottages, a beautiful sunny day so made the most of sitting outside. I sat with a...pot of tea and a muffin not certain what flavour it was but looked and tasted good. Several people sat outside eating various different things. Staff were friendly and it was not expensive I visited the toilets which were also clean. Interior of the property has been gutted which would be my only criticism as its lost its character inside.

If this place wasn’t so well positioned on such a well-trodden tourist track, it wouldn’t last jig time. I thought it was a difficult thing to balls up an Irish breakfast, but I was wrong…every element that sloppily made it on to the plate was...meagre portioned, not near to warm and tasted like reject food. The toast came soft and pale…was duly minutes later…still soft and pale. Maybe we got the wrong bill, but ours was way over the top…establishments like this have no business being in business.

Came here specifically for the gluten free options called out on the website and menu. On arrival tthough we were told that in fact, they didn't have any GF food at all, as they were waiting on an order How hard.is it to buy GF...bread in the local supermarket?

Looked forward to food here on a Sunday afternoon. No toasties available so we order beef brisket and a chicken burger. Both were severely lacking in flavour and the chicken burger was just reheated and so dry. My partner asked for her coffee before the...meal and everything came out together. Another sign of reheated food. Definitely avoid unless food improves. Staff nice, location nice.
