Fatz Cafe - Lexington

I've been visiting this Fatz for a long time, and I find that the recent reviews accurately reflect the quality of the food. Nonetheless, we had a pretty good experience. I ordered the sweet and cheesy chicken sandwich, which I enjoyed quite a bit. Our server was excellent as well; he probably felt overwhelmed after serving our group of about 20 people.

I mentioned my concerns to my waitress and then to the manager, who informed me that this was their lunch special. I honestly should have gone to McDonald's instead; their burgers are significantly bigger. I was incredibly disappointed. It's worth noting that the restaurant is now under new management, and the previous team was so much better. I ended up paying $13.06 for a subpar meal. Oh, and the waitress told me they had to squash the burger to cook it all the way through, which just adds to my dissatisfaction. If I can figure out how to upload a picture, I will share what I received.

The experience was great! Our waitress Kevin was very patient and very attentive to us. He made sure we had everything on time. The cook (Tyon) made our chicken and steak. It was so good! Definitely plan on coming back.

Went to Fatz on Augusta Hwy tonight and I was pleasantly surprised. Kevin our server was great! Friendly, welcoming and on top of our orders. I had all you can eat ribs with Kentucky Bourbon BBQ sauce. Delicious! They are under new management and theimprovements are noticeable. Will definitely go back.

The server was outstanding, but the food didn’t match what was advertised on the menu! I ordered the chicken with pineapple, which was shown with four slices in the picture, but myplate only had one slice. The rice underneath the chicken wasn’t cooked properly and was hard! Also, the margarita was disappointing—it tasted more like Hawaiian punch than anything else. We’ve dined at this Fatz location before, and it’s usually very good!
