El Charro Authentic Mexican - Lexington

I have been going to El Charo regularly for many years and I believe they serve the best Mexican food in Lexington. Their margaritas are also fantastic. I don't understand how some people can say their food is just average, as I have always had an excellent dining experience. The service is always top-notch, starting with Martin at their previous location and now with Betty. Betty is friendly, attentive (but not overbearing), and always quick to respond to any requests. She is a wonderful server in a fantastic restaurant.

The best dam skinny margarita ever. It is completely made fresh. Margaritas are all freshly made… oh yeah the food is awesome too, now you have to ask for Rodrigo , best experience EVER…. Atmosphere is so comfortable and welcoming. Do try it, trust me.

Amazing place and food, great atmosphere and exceptional customer service. My waiter was Miguel and Jennifer helped in answering any questions I had when he was attending to other customers. They even sang happy birthday to me (my birthday was on Saturday). He did inform me that it was against the rules to celebrate after your actual birthday date but they made an exception since I was in another State at the time. Beyond a first time experience I'll definitely be back.

Bety was very friendly. The food was amazing and the spicy margaritas were spot on! I had the fiery steak- make sure you can eat the heat before ordering this one! It was flavorful as well as extremely spicy. My husband had the mahi-mahi tacos. He loved them. We will definitely be back and ask for Bety!

Delicious Mexican food in a beautiful modern restaurant. I had the chicken fajitas and found them to be well seasoned and delicious. I especially enjoyed their homemade tomatillo salsa verde drizzled on my fajitas. My son had the chicken burrito with cheese sauce added to it. He said that it was great. The chips and salsa were good as well. My son ordered a large order of the cheese dip and it had a really good flavor. Our server took great care of us. I would definitely recommend trying them out If you’re in the area. Nice neighborhood hangout!
