Bella Forno - Lexington

We have dined at this restaurant multiple times and have always found the food options to be delightful. Tonight, it was quite crowded, and I finally noticed how small the space really is. Nevertheless, we still had a very enjoyable experience overall. I highly recommend trying the panna cotta for dessert!

Just okay pizza that costs more than it should. We had two different pizzas that were both lackluster--little sauce, not much seasoning, bland cheese. They weren't bad, but not worth going back for. Meatball appetizer was pretty good.

A great place for wood-fired Italian-style food! Good location and they take reservations too! We had excellent service from a friendly and appreciative staff.

We usually get the pizza here, which is very good. However, we thought we'd try the pastas instead this time. Turns out we should have stuck with the pizzas, as the pasta dishes were not nearly as good. I certainly will go back for the pizzas, but won't order their pastas again.

Our first time experience at Bella Forno was a good one and we look forward to returning. We both had the salad with grilled salmon and it was excellent. Next time I might ask for dressing on the side, since those preferences are so individual. My husband enjoyed his beer and I asked for a nonalcoholic beer, but they don't carry them. That would be the one thing I suggest they do. Many of my friends choose not to drink alcoholic beverages at any given time, but they enjoy an alternative to iced tea or soft drinks. The waiter was friendly attentive. The pre-dinner loaf of bread with herb infused olive oil for dipping was the best, ever! Overall, we enjoyed our first visit very much.
