Old World Breads - Lewes

I love this cozy little café. The coffee is excellent and the staff is charming. Unfortunately, the pastries are consistently underwhelming. I can't resist trying them, though. Last time, I ordered a croissant that looked perfect but ended up being incredibly dry and tasteless. It's disappointing that they don't seem to quality check their pastries before serving them.

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic, and I wouldn't be surprised if people traveled to Lewes just for OWBB. I enjoyed a homemade pop-tart, my wife had a danish, and I ordered a cappuccino. I was extremely pleased with my experience. The staff were friendly and willing to assist new customers with their menu selection.

Just an amazing bakery with a wide range of delicious offerings! The folks there are so friendly and welcoming, too. Every town should have such a place!

Stopped by for Fresh baked goods but most things tasted at least a day old. The cinnamon and sticky buns were not warm and or gooey. The donuts were the only thing that tasted fresh baked this morning. They had a lot of options, but for an average price of $3 an item, id expect a little more. Have had in the past and the crossiants were flaky and delicious, but today they were brittle and dry.

This though. These breads and pastries are clean tasting and delicious! I am absolutely obsessed with the butter cookies. I will be sure to visit as early as I can anytime I am visiting Lewes! Five stars !
