Had to keep asking for more water, never offered a second alcoholic beverage, dessert kinda tossed at us by a young male, waited an hour to get dinner served, issues with the machine when trying to pay after waiting ages at the counter. Food was good (salmon) but asparagus was woody. Views were good, decor pretty but improvements needed in service.
We were visiting Lethbridge and were recommended this restaurant. I have to say it gave a bad first impression to be forced to provide our phone number “to make a reservation on-site before being seated, especially when it wasn’t very busy and there were many tables available. i am not sure about the legality of this system, especially since we were spammed a text message after we left, when we never gave our consent for that.Nonetheless, the food was very good and ingredients were thoughtfully combined to perfection and would recommend their dishes. The staff was quite friendly and attentive to our table.I think the restaurant aims to provide a “fancy” experience, but needs to work on making it a bit easier to navigate and improve its curb appeal (a poorly maintained elevator with 2 buttons “casual/formal” isn’t very indicative to people who dont know your business and I spent a few minutes walking in circle looking for the restroom)
I had the pilsner that I mixed with the local cider and added ice. It was a perfect summer fruity but not sweet drink! I ordered the Jagersnitzel and it was very nicely done a tiny bit dry but the zucchini and carrots complimented it to perfection. The server Vishnu, was very nice and went beyond and above to accommodate for us. He made possible for us to change the table and have one with a view. He looked after us very well I would say that he is truly a professional. Thumbs up for the good work! The atmosphere is elegant and classy. Every detail of the ambiance is looked after starting from nice leather swirling chairs, the beautiful bookshelf displaying old books and glass sculptures, finishing with the decorative pressure gages and the spy glass placed on top-of-the beaches. The entire experience was topped by the walk on the outer walkway around the water tower. I can 't recommend it more as a beautiful all around experience a must do if you visit Leftbridge.
The service was very good. Two out of three meals were excellent. I had the butter chicken and my sister in law had the salmon, the salmon happened to be the special for the day. Our meals were very good. My husband had the jagerschnitzel, his cutlet was overcooked and dried out He said the fries were very good.
We decided to have dinner at Water Tower for our anniversary dinner. It was our first experience at your restaurant. From our drinks to appetizer to entree and dessert, everything was exceptional. Our server was attentive and answered any questions we had. It was a beautiful experience, the soft music playing really set the mood. It was wonderful to be able to walk around outside and get a good view of this wonderful city as the sun set. We will definitely recommend and return.
