Chalet Tonia - Les Allues

Excellent mountain chalet for lunch in Meribel. Great food, excellent service, reasonable prices and delicious desserts.

Chalet Tonia is nestled in a little depression up above Meribel Mottaret. We stopped for a light lunch and opted for a burger. Everything about the burger lunch was superb from the perfectly cooked high quality lean beef; to some of the finest chips I have had in the Alps; and a salad dressing that frankly I could have drunk neat! It was all supported by a cold beer then followed by a coffee of the highest quality too. We just wish we had visited this place again and eaten inside although I suspect we would never have left the place except to ski back to our Reberty chalet. This is almost a little mountain secret and one you should try if you are skiing in the Three Valleys.

When you go 3 days in a row to the same restaurant it must be good!! Food is outstanding and service is even better. Special thanks to Aurelie, Karen and Louis. Aussi La Patronesse Caroline est amazing!
