We were greeted right away by the hostess, who was the high point of the entire visit, and given a nice seat outside which overlooked the woods behind the restaurant as well as a nice view of the mountains across the street. We sat for a bit and looked over the menu, watching other tables around us have food delivered and checked in on before the hostess returned with water and then bread and butter saying the server would be right with us. We continued to wait before our server arrived and deciding not to wait any longer we ordered some drinks and jumped right into the entrees skipping an appetizer. We watched as the other tables around us finished off their dinners, desserts, and departed while we waited for our food and our drinks emptied without being refilled. We recieved our dinner, which I will say was quite good. I got the chicken saltimbocca which was a very nice portion, although maybe slighly too much sauce, but was still quite good. We finished our dinners without the server having returned and eagerly awaited the check so we could leave. Overall I would not recommend although I do again have to say the hostess did an amazing job wearing multiple hats while we were there. Pleasantly surprised. we all had different escapes and all were good. many vegetarian options. arancini was also good.
Excellent eating, charming environment, a word of intention very difficult to get in and out. the grilled aubergines served cool, it was a little heavy on the vinegar. salate with broken ricotta was excellent. the main course was osso bucco, which was perfected, served with a rich chuteritotto. we also had fruitti de mare, which was well valued, and linguini and meatballs that were also enjoyed.
