Aj's Family Steakhouse - Lenoir

This place sucked from the word go. I arrived early, a little after 11, thinking I would get it fresh. Nope. While the wait staff was courteous I sat there with an empty glass and no extra plate. The selection of food was horrible. All the meat in the stewed beef was fat, as if they used the trimmings of their steakes. Even the fried chicken was overlooked and dry. The apple cobbler was all breading and no apples. The yeast rolls did keep them from getting a one star rating. I am very disappointed and would not recommend it to anybody.

Food was not great, service was not bad. Place was definitely dated. Noticed several customers, piling plates full of food, eating less than half, going back to buffet and doing it again. Lots of waste...sad

3 stars because some of the food on the buffet was cold and/or dry, like it had been sitting there for a while. The atmosphere was good. The toilet in the men's room looked like someone had eaten taco bell and stopped there to explode.
