What a beautiful environment, a perfect friendly, pleasant service and the food was fresh and great! We went with children and all enjoyed their time! I highly recommend it!
After a long trip to the half island we made a stop at the Cabal 171, all slightly stressed by the terrible traffic we have experienced, and when we reached this hidden but magnificent place, we all experienced an immediate relief! A small paradise, where a highly praised team takes care of the best Huitres we have ever had. The Gambas and Crevettes of Madagascar were also perfect and all combined with excellent local wine. What a great moment in life we have experienced for a great experience thanks to the young waiters!

The French are great marketers, and Legs Cap Ferret is marketed the "it" place for oyster tasting, so we fell for the hype, rented 2 bikes and took the boat across the bay from Arcachon where we were staying, and traversed the 4 km distanced from the Cap Ferret jetty to Plage Canon.Cabane 171 is not well signposted, and you'll find at the end of the village. We ordered 24 medium oysters and had a helping of the bulots and bigorneaux along the way, washed down with a rosé.The view is very nice, but paying 46 Euros in transportation to make it here for two is not worth it, and be warned that the cycling trails are cut off and not intended for amateurs. Lastly, the all you can eat option is only available during high season, so don't go out of your way to come here. Had I known, I would have saved the bike rental and boat fees and driven 10 mins over to nearby Gujan Mestras for exactly the same oysters.
