The burned ends and the brisket were also represented at our table. Some others in our group had the crab balls. (If you prefer seafood, Jazzy has also covered you. I had the pulled pig, jazzries (with delicious spices!, and Mac and cheese. And I had the best sweet tea of my life. I am very picky over iced tea and often order water to avoid old or tasteless tea. I was ready to take a GALLON from that tea home. If you're in Kansas City, continue to the suburb of Lee's Summit. Every bite of food, every sip of tea makes you SO GLAD you did!
I honestly can't praise the experience I just had here enough. I'm sitting in the parking lot charging my phone (cause it was dead) because I HAD to recommend this place. I had a Briskit sandwich, and shared my girlfriends corn and baked beans. We barely talked the whole meal because we were too engrossed in how good the food sitting in front of us was. Every single bite knocked our socks off. I hate baked beans but I could drink the ones here. The corn wasn't just buttery but covered in a garlic sauce that absolutely stunned me. The fries were covered in bbq seasoning, and I've never considered putting brown sugar on my fries before this moment. And the Briskit was legitimately the best, most tender cut of meat I've ever tasted. Eat here. Just do it. I'm traveling and we happened upon this owner operated little place and I am legitimately sad that I'm not going to be through here again anytime soon. Because I already want to eat there tomorrow.
Great spot for a unique meal. Many of their items are a twist on a classic. The Reuben rolls were amazing. I was very full when I got there but it didn't stop me from eating. They are well known for their jazzy fries that Comes with a special sauce. They do sell the sauce in store and I picked one up for myself. I heard they are no longer selling ribs but if you can, catch them on a day they sell their chicken wings. These are massive and the smoke permeates it so well. They are located in Lee summit with a medium sized private parking lot. Makes it easy to get to.
Thought I would support a small business and I?m glad I did. When shops are able to fully open up again, I will definitely dine in. Service is great and staff is friendly. Food was good but had to travel back to the house 20 min so the fries didn?t stand up to the ride very well no fault of the restaurant fries never last in a closed container). I still ate them at 60% of their potential ?
Kurt and I had a most excellent lunch last week. BBQ and Cajun options, and I look forward to exploring the Cajun next time I go. I did get the crab balls and they were delicious! The pesto aioli was perfect. I had the three meat platter, Kurt ordered by the pound The ribs were my favorite, burnt ends second. Fries are dusted with spicy and sweet and perfectly crispy. Beans had lots of meat in them, weren't as sweet as they looked they were going to be (thank goodness). I liked the environment and their upper area is great for large parties. Super amazing fantastic staff. I live that the owner features a wall of photos for sale by a local photographer.
