The meal was enjoyable, and I had a pleasant experience overall. The service was satisfactory as well. I will definitely return.

We had made a reservation for a Sunday carvery, but received a call informing us that it was no longer available and that they were now serving a set Sunday lunch with options for 1, 2, or 3 courses. While the food was quite delicious, it was not served hot. We didn’t feel it offered good value for money. Additionally, the atmosphere was a significant drawback; the bar and restaurant felt unclean, with tables that needed to be wiped down. It was also quite cold, and the noise level was not relaxing at all. Despite the tasty food, we won’t be returning, as it was expensive and chaotic.

We waited 45 minutes for our head, eating was bad. the Sunday dinner has all changed and it's filthy. the bar is freezing and I will not come back. we married 4 years ago in the hotel and it was much better. I don't like eating it is down rate is 0

We often came on a Sunday for the buffet. we were disappointed that it was no longer offered and the children eating free option has stopped now. the restaurant was very quiet and was always busy on a Sunday at most of our visits. although eating was in order, we did not feel that it was worth £70 for a family of 4. we felt that the previous children eating free option was a good value and now this has stopped we will not return.

I would not return to this restaurant. The service and food were both terrible. The wine was served warm, and the food was cold. The Yorkshire puddings were so flat they could fill every pothole in Yorkshire. One guest requested mint sauce, but the staff said they didn’t have any. The prawns in the cocktail were rubbery. I've never eaten at a Wetherspoons, but another guest mentioned that their food was better. On the day of our lunch, I was shocked to see that every table was full and it was extremely busy. Then I found out it was a "buy one, get one free" deal, which explained the crowd. I would never go back or even stay the night at this village hotel.
