Town Hall Tavern - Leeds

We had a fantastic midweek lunch with our dog at this restaurant. Everything from the service to the food was excellent. They even brought over a dog bowl as soon as we sat down. The beer selection was great, and the food was delicious with fresh ingredients and generous portions at a reasonable price. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

My friends recommended this restaurant to me, but I was unaware that it had recently changed ownership. The staff seemed like they were still adjusting to the changes, as the service was quite slow. We were told there would be a delay in taking our order and that we wouldn't be able to order for at least 45 minutes. When the food finally arrived, it was bland and reminded me of school lunches. The mashed potatoes were lumpy and shaped like they were scooped out of an ice cream scoop, and the boiled vegetables were not very appetizing. The meat was okay, but overall, it may be hit or miss for some people. Perhaps we just had a bad experience.

We enjoyed a good Sunday lunch in a peaceful area of town over the weekend. The service was friendly, the food was good value and of decent quality. It was great to see a full selection of Taylor's beer available. I would recommend booking a table as we arrived at 12 and it was empty, but when we returned at 1 we were lucky to get the last available table for food service (they only have a few tables).
