My sister recommended this pub to me, and I can’t thank her enough. After many disappointing Sunday dinners that I could easily do better at home, I was thrilled with the quality of food here. The meat was top-notch and cooked to perfection. The homemade gravy was truly divine—definitely no Bisto in sight. The Yorkshire puddings were massive, and the vegetables were fresh and crisp (finally, no soggy broccoli!). For dessert, I enjoyed a rich Baileys mousse paired with homemade shortbread. It’s so refreshing to find a pub that takes pride in its food and serves such high-quality ingredients. I highly recommend it, and the prices are very reasonable as well—just £12 for two courses. This lovely pub in a beautiful setting has become my new favorite place for Sunday meals.
This is a charming little village pub. The beer is good and the prices are reasonable, creating a wonderful atmosphere. I've heard that the food is excellent, but I often find myself visiting after I've already eaten. Several of my friends have strongly recommended it, so I plan to try the food very soon.
What an amazing spot! The highlight of my visit was definitely the fact that all the food is made from scratch, and you can really taste the difference. I ordered the Greek lamb plate, which was generous in portion and included two succulent lamb chops, two flavorful lamb meatballs, and two chicken skewers. It came with fresh pita and homemade hummus. My companion tried the fillet steak, which was cooked to perfection and served with a proper salad, fries, and onion rings. The service was impeccable, and I really enjoyed learning about the history of the train station that now hosts Buffers!
