Saffron - Leeds

Twice we’ve had a delivery of food from Saffron but never again. The first time it came 30 minutes ahead of the agreed time before everyone got home and tonight it came 25 minutes late so it was cold. Never had a problem when we’ve eaten in the restaurant but deliveries are now a no-no for us.

Safrom does excellent Indian food, I have been several times with my wife and each time has been very very good. Restaurant is only small as it only seats around 24 to 30 peolple, but it is very very good. The takeaway food is also very good although for delivery or collection is now taking a lot longer than it used to do. Now takes around 45 minutes from order, used to be around 20 minutes.

This fantastic curry restaurant provides excellent service by Naz. The dining experience was truly enjoyable. Just a few things to keep in mind: 1. Make sure to book in advance as it can get very busy. 2. Drinks must be purchased from the neighboring pub, just a few steps away. 3. Payment is cash only, so remember to bring some with you (there's a Halifax nearby if needed). Overall, highly recommend. - Richard Reka

I recently tried a takeout from this restaurant and it was the worst, most tasteless food I have ever had. I tried reaching out to the owner but have not received a call back. The dish was full of onions and tomato sauce, definitely not authentic Indian cuisine in my opinion. As an Indian myself, I should know.

The second time I ordered the spinach and chicken Karahi. Again, the dish arrived late and was lacking in spice. It was oily, which I didn't mind, but overall very bland except for the garlic flavor. I ended up throwing it away halfway through, which is not like me. The chappatis were good, but once again I had to add my own chili and fresh coriander. I regret not going to Aagrah instead.
