Frankie And Bennys - Leeds

I ordered a Caesar salad and was disappointed to receive a bowl of baby gem lettuce with very little Caesar sauce or Parmesan cheese. Thankfully, I added some grilled chicken, but it was overcooked. Overall, my experience was very disappointing.

The restaurant was extremely quiet and the service was unusually slow. The food lacked any seasoning, and when this was brought to the attention of the waitress, she simply stated that salt and pepper were available on the table. When it was mentioned that seasoning should be part of the cooking process, the waitress replied that they had received complaints about the food being over-seasoned in the past, so the chefs stopped adding seasoning altogether. The response to this complaint was dismissive, with the waitress laughing and walking away without offering any resolution. It seemed that calling the staff "chefs" was overly generous – even referring to them as microwave technicians would be too complimentary.

I stopped in for lunch and was served quickly as the restaurant was very quiet. I ordered the lasagne Bolognese. The lasagne was okay, but not very authentic. However, the Bolognese was terrible. The sauce didn't resemble Bolognese at all and had no flavor. It was like boiled minced beef placed on top of pasta strips. I only had a few bites before leaving the rest. I would have given a higher rating if the waiter had asked about my meal when clearing the table, but he didn't. I would have explained why I didn't finish it if he had asked. Overall, the restaurant's lack of customers may be due to the outdated menu and poor quality of food. I have never experienced such bad food in years and will not be returning.

Small adult portions compared to price. Kids meals were fine and looked larger than the adults pasta. Dirty dog meal was not very warm and on a metal tray which span every time you slightly knocked it.

Based in Leeds West Yorkshire. Went to Frankie and bennys came in with my mum sat down took 20 mins for drinks 30 mins for food even though it was made in 5 mins it was sat under the hot light for 25 mins told the lady she grinned at us and and stared at my mother for 5 secs and then walked away told them I want a refund they gave us one. NEVER GO THERE AGAIN.
