We ordered food signature dish of pasta and spinach balls pasta was cold spinach balls burnt when I eventually manage to speak to some one she said “ sorry and laughed. I have always enjoyed my food here but I will not be going back
I've visited this place many times for breakfast or lunch. The food is very good, although the scrambled eggs a bit over salted this time (and I do like salt). Decided to treat myself to a **** Mary and oh what a disappointment no celery available in the kitchen and just a watery blend of ice, presumably vodka and they have upped their game to a premium tomato juice. Considering this is one of THE cocktails du jour they could consider visiting Olive Rye in Queens Arcade for a few pointers.
Extremely bland and flavourless food, the food arrived too quickly to be fresh, the ragu was hot in the middle and cold everywhere else, the ravioli had very little filling, tasted bland and came with no sauce. The waitress brought butter sauce, which was like watery soup and had little flavour again. It needed a creamy sauce. The waitress didn't return to enquire about how the food was at any time during the main course. The starters were, at best, average. We won't be going again. Very disappointed.
Visited Leeds Carluccios last week, poor reception and welcome waiting to be seated. Drinks service was slow and only when we were asked to place our order did the tell us no steak, no burger, no tuna as it was a health and safety issue as the fire extinguishers weren't working. We considered leaving at that point but as there was 8 of us we thought we might struggle to get a table I wish we had left The food was tepid, the dishes with tomato sauce in them looked claggy and dry, the chicken with parma ham was too oily and I don't believe out of the 8 meals there was a good one amongst them. At no point did anyone ask if everything was ok or if we were enjoying our food when i asked for the service to be removed i didn't even get asked why it was removed. After paying a not insubstantial 324.50 i asked to speak to the manager who i was directed to, who explained as i had paid he couldn't do anything, he did offer to take the service charge off but i had explained that this had already been done, i explained i would just complain centrally which he asked me not to do but he didn't have a solution to the issue. I said some drinks perhaps would be a good compromise but he explained that wasn't possible but he did offer me a bottle of wine from the display in the restaurant, i explained that really wasn't acceptable as it was warm and as we were on a night out we couldn't carry that round with us for the remainder of the evening. On the whole we had a terrible experience with poor food and when we raised this the manager was completely ineffective and not empowered to resolve the situation which as a manager is completely unacceptable. In the meantime i have complained and had zero response
This was not a functional restaurant. Many menu items were unavailable (steaks, burgers, calamari, chicken liver pate and even doughnuts) either because of malfunctioning equipment or lack of supplies. The servers were very embarrassed. I would not return.
