Red Door Woodfired Grill - Leawood

Jack was our waiter for lunch. We were dining on a Sunday. It was right at noon, and was low key. Food came out and dropped piping hot! Kitchen was up and running. Jack did a great job serving, we got the Royal treatment!

Service was not great for us. We waited about 15 minutes before a server came to take drink orders, we went ahead and ordered food right then because we didn't want to wait another 15 for a food order... food was okay, but definitely not what it usually is. Sweet cheeses burger was lukewarm and that made the cheese have that kinda gritty texture ya know? Prices were good because it was burger night. Our waters went dry and we had to wait probably 10 minutes before our water came and asked if we needed anything. I said “a water would be great” and the server avoided eye contact and just said “got it” and went to go get refills. It was a busy evening I suppose and things happen! Just didn't make us excited to go back is all. I also would have loved to have have another cocktail but didn't feel as though it was worth the hassle. They also make you select your tip right in front of the person holding the machine at the table so that felt like extra pressure for good tips and bad service :

Red Door Grill in Leawood is one of our favorite local restaurants. Their burgers and fries are among the best I have had in the KC area. Wish they would bring back Blue Moon on tap, which I prefer over the other brews available.

This is my second time at this location, and my first experience was great. Unfortunately, that was not the case this visit. Sat at the bar and watched the bartender helping other customers, making drinks and passing by us several times. After 5 minutes, we had not been acknowledged, so we got his attention, and he said he did not see us. That's hard to believe but okay. We proceeded to order drinks and appetizers. We order nachos for our second appetizer, and a couple sits next to us shortly thereafter. After waiting at least 30 minutes, we see the couple next to us get their food, and with no word about our food, it was time to leave. I was so disappointed ?

The food was great. Many options to watch your favorite spring event. They had a comfortable seating area outside with inside options of a booth, table, high top table or bar seating. Our low cost meal was completed by a beautiful sunset
