フィードバックを提供するWe were for Thanksgiving 2016. We were lucky to get the last seats. The dining room reminded me of a lodge at Lake Tahoe. Yes, the presentation was buffet, but the selection and switching was first. Our servers and back waiters were attentive, but not exaggerated. We look forward to staying at the lodge this year and going again for Thanksgiving. I guess the Hasser are more Golden Corral than Kingfisher.
A huge part of the Sleeping Lady resort experience. I kind of feel like it’s the heart of the whole compound and it was so sad to stay there and not see it open. The staff is understandably vague about the timeline of re-opening, but I sure hope it comes back soon.
We opted for the set menu, which was beautifully presented. Our server, Maria, exceeded all expectations; her intelligence and warmth made us feel both welcomed and valued. The bread was exceptional, and the soup was delightful—I had to hold back from eating too much! The steak, along with the sides of vegetables, was fantastic. The desserts were truly amazing. Overall, the experience offered an outstanding return on investment.
We had a wonderful experience at Kingfisher. The service staff were incredibly friendly and professional. Due to Covid, the dinner options were limited, but everything was delightful. My husband ordered the salmon and loved it so much that he wished he could have more! He’s quite discerning, but it was really that good. I chose the steak, and it was cooked to perfection. I prefer my steak medium-rare, and it was juicy and full of flavor. They had four dessert options; we tried three of them. Actually, we ended up having two desserts and asked for seconds! If you’re staying at the Sleeping Lady, I recommend opting for the meal package at least for one night. We left feeling satisfied after an enjoyable breakfast-for-dinner experience and had no regrets!
My friend recommended this place for breakfast and mentioned that we needed reservations. I was intrigued about why a country-side breakfast spot only operates on reservations. We ended up having breakfast at Kingfisher Restaurant. The servers bring juice, coffee, and drinks directly to your table, while the rest of the breakfast options are served buffet-style, featuring a wide variety that includes vegetarian, meat, and fruit selections. Most dishes are made with sustainable, locally sourced ingredients, making it clear they don't skimp on quality. It felt like they truly use the best ingredients available, and there are plenty of healthy choices. Although prices are higher than at many other breakfast places, I believe it’s worth it. The next time I visit Leavenworth and the surrounding area, I definitely plan to include Sleeping Lady Kingfisher in my itinerary.
