Mclain's Market Lawrence

My partner and I have booked McLain’s Market to create the stunning cake for our wedding, and they have done a phenomenal job. We can't wait to receive our beautiful cake from them next year! Our cake will be three tiers, and we requested a color change from dark to dusty blue to match our wedding theme, and they nailed it! I chose my own flowers and cake design, and it turned out beautifully. The delivery to our venue was a breeze, and the cupcakes we ordered arrived within 30 minutes! We are especially grateful to Madison Ham for her hard work in making, decorating, and delivering our cake. Our consultation with her was wonderful. She is absolutely amazing! I highly recommend McLain’s Market and their entire team for any baking needs!

Kat and her team at McLain’s created a stunning and delicious cake for us! I highly recommend the mandel funfetti cake with vanilla buttercream; it was the lightest, fluffiest cake we’ve ever had, and others agreed! We paired it with mini cinnamon rolls from Munchers Bakery, making it a truly magical dessert experience in Lawrence. The pricing was very reasonable—around $550 for a beautifully decorated cake that served 120 guests. They managed the delivery and communication perfectly throughout the entire process. I can't recommend them highly enough!

We had a wonderful experience collaborating with Kat at McLain’s for our wedding, and the Tantigam cake was such a delight! They arranged a lovely tasting with several gluten-free options, and the entire bakery team did an amazing job recreating the exact designs we requested. The wedding cake was completely gluten-free (I have celiac disease), and everyone loved it! We can’t wait to order another one for our jubilee. Thank you, McLain’s!

After I get the high-time cakes of our daughter here, I am looking forward to all my cakes being made here. we love mcclain to eat breakfast and get coffee. I have hired for the braut shower of my daughter catering and it was incredible and punctual. the high-time cake and the additional desserts we ordered for high-time reception were phenomenal. sometimes it takes a while to react to emails, but it is done.

We are SO pleased to have chosen McLains on KU’s campus to host our brunch themed wedding reception this past weekend. We had a guest list of about 70 people, ages 3 to 74, and everyone had an absolute blast at the party raved about everything from the food, to service, to decor/aesthetic. Sean was extremely responsive to my e-mails leading up to the day of, and Zach was so helpful, gracious kind to us while keeping the breakfast buffet drinks table stocked for our guests. Every staff member that we interacted with that day was stellar hospitable. The food was fantastic, and very reasonably priced for the amazing quality that we received. Everything was clean and organized, and we felt safe with the Covid recommendations they had in place. The location really was perfect for the mood we wanted for our ‘big day’ and my husband and I would recommend McLains for anything from grabbing a quick coffee to using their catering team to host an event. Thank you all for helping us to create such a beautiful memory on our wedding day!
