Grande Buffet Grill - Laurel

I requested a quiet and less crowded area of the restaurant because I needed to have a phone call with my staff while working. Unfortunately, the waitress seated me next to a table of two very loud and disruptive women who continually disturbed me while I was trying to eat. I barely made it through my first dish before I had to leave. I hope the owner addresses this issue, and I will happily give a 5-star rating once it's resolved.

I found the buffet to be somewhat inspiring, although it wasn't the worst I've ever had. While many of the dishes lacked flavor, the steamed shrimp were particularly underwhelming. However, there were a few highlights: the green beans were nicely seasoned, and the pepper chicken was quite tasty. The sesame chicken was acceptable, but the salmon and other fish were bland. On the positive side, there was an abundance of fresh fruit available, which was a nice touch. They also had blue crabs, but they were so small that I didn't think they were worth the effort to eat. The price was only $16, but I'd be willing to pay a bit more for better quality food.

Regarding food preparation, I noticed that the chef was using his phone while making sushi, and he wasn't wearing gloves. He kept switching between his phone and the cutting board, which is definitely unacceptable in any food service environment. They do maintain the buffet trays at a high temperature to ensure food safety, but the overall quality of the offerings could be improved. In summary, GrandE Buffet is a budget-friendly option if you're looking for a variety of dishes, but the quality leaves something to be desired.

We didn't have to wait until we were sitting. The food was good, especially the roasted chicken, lamb and onions, baked salmon and broccoli lol mine. The chilled shrimps were not good. They were soft. Nice atmosphere. I was surprised that it was not busier for a holiday weekend (Labor Day). It was spacious and had a good number of people.

Multi-cultural dishes, affordable and yummy. Staff are great and plenty of parking for cars bus-load customers. Seniors get discounts. Highly recommend it especially as they open. Thanks GrandE, will come back for more!
