Le Relais Du Col Du Mont Cenis

This was great spot for lunch after cycling up from Lanselbourg. Our host shared some interesting historical details regarding the geography of Mont Cenis.

When the snow comes this traditional mountain stop comes into its own. Rustic local dishes, piping hot just what you need if you have made the effort on skis, walking or by sled to get there. Basic facilities but it's all about the history and the view

Ugly outside, but it doesn't matter. Food, both salty and sweet is excellent. Val Cenis ski resort is on the northern side of the mountain, but the Relais is at the side of the valley with lake Mont Cenis and the sun shines all day.

You are received as someone from the family, very warm welcome. Excellent cuisine, all enhanced with stories so beautifully told by the storyteller of the place. A must-see place.
