フィードバックを提供するI had a positive experience at the Happy Mixer in Langhorne, but my visit to the Chalfont location was disappointing. After reading other reviews about bugs at the Chalfont store, I felt compelled to share my own experience. I purchased a small salted caramel cake on June 13, 2023, and served it on the 14th. Unfortunately, my mother found a dead lightning bug in her piece, which was alarming. The store apologized, but seemed indifferent to the situation, claiming they never see bugs in their facility. However, another review mentioned that they sometimes leave the back door open, leading to unsanitary conditions. I also noticed other bugs in the food cases. Instead of offering a refund, they only provided a full replacement worth of items, which turned out to be much more expensive than advertised on their website. When I questioned the discrepancy, their response was that they forget to update the website prices. This experience has led me to consider finding a new place to frequent.
My husband got me a brownie from the pizza place we regularly go to and we decided to take a trip to the bakery. I have had celiac for a few years and this was hands down the best gluten free bakery goods I have ever had. We used to go to a place in the city and this beats it hands down and is reasonably priced. Everything tastes delicious and doesn’t have any aftertaste (like some other gluten free bakeries).
I was excited to discover The Happy Mixer thanks to a colleague. The vegan brownies were decadent and full of flavor, just like the other treats we sampled. The chocolate chip cookies were moist and tasty. My daughter's vegan graduation cake was stunning and she adored it. The bakery has a friendly atmosphere and excellent customer service. There is ample parking available as well.
I ordered the lemon cake, chocolate donut, and brown edge wafer at this restaurant. All three were absolutely delicious, but the lemon cake was my favorite. It didn't taste like it was gluten-free at all. Plus, it freezes well for later enjoyment.
First time at the Happy Mixer today, and unfortunately, it will probably be my last. The GOOD:The service was great.Everything looked fresh. The place was clean which is always top on my list. The price was not the worst that I have paid for donuts.Texture and presentation of the donuts were nice. The BAD:I bought a dozen donuts and took a couple bites out of each different donut (we cut them into small pieces so everyone can try them) and they were just too sweet. The amount of sugar was unbearable. Even the kids said they were too sweet and when have you ever heard a kid say something was too sweet? There was a vanilla donut with chocolate that was not as sweet. Please note that I say this with respect and acknowledge that everyone’s taste buds are different. I wish the Bakery continued success with their customers, I however cannot be a future customer.
