My wife and I were starting to get hungry in the afternoon and there's not much between Perry, Fl. and Tallahasse, Fl. we happened to see this little place, that had quite a few cars in the parking lot, went in and Darlene was our waitress was really nice we both got the cheeseburger and my wife had the sweet potato fries, just regular fries for myself! We both agreed that it was the best cheeseburgers we'd ever had! Darlene also told us about dessert which were all homemade, I got the cheesecake with strawberry topping, also the best! We'll be back again for sure!
We are HUGE fans of the Flatwoods Café. My wife and I, our family and friends frequent this great place. The owners are wonderful people. The food is the best, all made from scratch meals and desserts. If you like pizza, you need to try their wood fired pizza, it's the best for miles around. I just can't say enough good things about this little country restaurant. If you ever drive through Lamont, don't miss the opportunity to try this place.
Bought the mushroom swiss buger. It was the best hamburger I have had in a very long time. The people working there were great. Would definitely stop again the next time I am passing through.
Allow the boast: I have savored pizza Napolitano in Sorrento and Naples, but you need go no further than Lamont, Florida and the Flatwoods Cafe to find better. Deliziosa, it were, and with a crust perfetto. But so also was everything else, the Buffalo wings worth going to bed with, and the fresh salad, too. Oh, delightful mess, but there are plenty of napkins and the sheets wash. And as for the service...Christina, Anita, and toss in even Steven, the easy mannered owner, it could not have been more pleasant, no matter where. My only recommendation might be to suggest a complimentary finger bowl of water, perhaps with one floating rose petal, to help mop up your face and fingers. But of course that may just be me, a messy eater in direct proportion to my enjoyment of the meal. And anyway, my wife did not mind when I dipped a corner of my napkin into her Chardonnay for the purpose. She is, thank Heaven, used to me.
