Chris's Taverna - Lake Worth

We tried several dishes: the Spanakopita was okay, not the best. The grilled octopus, however, was tender and cooked to perfection—truly amazing. The hummus tasted freshly made and was very good. The gyro wrap was huge and packed with deliciously seasoned lamb and beef—SO GOOD! The baby lamb chops with lemon herb potatoes had fantastic flavor; you can't go wrong with this choice. The baklava was a large portion, but I wasn't a fan—it looked better than it tasted. Overall, the food and service were excellent, and I will definitely return when I'm in the area!

This is the best moussaka and the tastiest pita wraps and souvlaki I have ever had! I absolutely love this restaurant!

I have been dining at this restaurant for years, and they have always excelled in both service and food. However, when I visited last week in May 2023, it somehow didn't live up to the usual standard. Every restaurant can have an off night, so to speak. If you're looking for authentic Greek cuisine, this is the place to go. You won't be disappointed.

I was disappointed with the lamb chops I had on Saturday night. They were quite thin and had a lot of gristle. I ordered them medium, but they arrived well done. I’ve enjoyed them in the past, so I’m puzzled why they were sliced so thin this time. Unfortunately, I won’t be ordering them again. They’re definitely not worth the $36.00.

First of all, our server Ava was fantastic! She was patient and attentive, bringing us warm pita slices along with a delicious dip. We sat outside, shaded from the sun, and it was such a lovely experience. I ordered a half-and-half iced tea and lemonade, creating a refreshing Arnold Palmer, and I ended up having two of those. Alexandra opted for an Amstel. For our meal, we chose the char-grilled shrimp wrap served in a soft pita, and it was outstanding! We shared it alongside a side of eggplant and Greek fries topped with feta cheese and spices. If you haven't visited Chris’ Taverna yet, it's definitely worth it! Afterwards, there are also some lovely shops to explore. Thank you, Ava, and thank you, Chris’ Taverna—we will definitely be back!
