Giant Pharmacy - Lake Ridge

I've been using the Giant pharmacy here for ten years, and this is the first time that I had problems with them...big service, customer interactions, very professional, but they are filled behind always recipes as they are re-registered with kovid and flu vaccines and the apotheker is the only one that can give vaccines. otherwise I love the load, their service and selection

I explained to them I have sea food allergies and cross contamination would send me into a reaction. John told me, he has the same thing. They were very attentive and super professional. Went to the grocery store for beer and cake mandatory supplies on this 48 hour stretch of important birthdays in our house . As the teen 20 something cashier was checking the folks in front of me out, his manager came over and said I have to keep you late tonight because I had a girl not show up today. I gotta check how late, but you're staying late. The other young male cashier in the next lane is also being kept late. Clearly disappointed, the young guy said softly I'll have to make some calls. I had plans with my family to go into DC for the fireworks. I don't know if the other young man had plans, but on 4th of July, it's safe to assume. Leaders. Bosses. Managers. HUMANS. There is a nearly infinite list of better ways to approach this. Even if she doesnt care about her employees' private lives, she could have at least acknowledged that they HAVE lives outside a part time job at Giant. I'm still fuming as I write this. The list of reasons this is utter garbage is too long to even attempt. We've all been there. We've all felt powerless at work, in life. But DANG, lady, just a tiny bit of humanity would have gone a long way to keeping the loyalty and motivation of those two kids. It's no wonder the other employee didn't bother to show up! Do better.
