Mr. Mike's Pizza - LAKE PLACID

The service was excellent, my takeout order was prepared on time as promised. The Caesar salad was disappointing, consisting of just romaine lettuce topped with a generous amount of grated parmesan similar to what you find on pizza. It was served with a dressing heavy on anchovies and lemon wedges on the side, but it lacked croutons. The pizza was average, but the pepperoni pizza I ordered had few slices of pepperoni and they were hidden under the cheese, making it difficult to see them at first.

I went to Mr. Mike's restaurant twice, just after Thanksgiving but before the busy winter season in the area. Both times I visited, the restaurant was empty. I ordered pizza and salad to go and found the food to be good with no complaints. The prices were reasonable. It's worth mentioning that some businesses in Lake Placid prefer cash payments and offer discounts for it, or may charge a fee for card transactions. Mr. Mike's charges a $1.00 fee for card payments, which is not mentioned upfront.

First and foremost, the owner is very kind. It was a pleasure to chat with them while I waited for my amazing pizza. The food is fantastic and clearly made with love. A definite must-visit in Lake Placid!

Stopped by for a calzone after a day of hiking in the rain. Owner shook my hand and welcomed me. Calzone was amazing. What else can you want?

Mr. Mike 's Pizza is the salt of the earth Lake Placid dining experience. A beautiful restaurant with a long history. David is continuing the family legacy by cooking up some incredible pizzas and providing a cozy family atmosphere. My family has been coming to Lake Placid for decades, and eating at Mr. Mike 's is an integral part of the tradition. Highly recommended for anyone staying in the Lake Placid area!
