Shawnee Bluff Winery - Lake Ozark

We just popped in for a drink and found a charming little spot. The Christmas decorations were lovely and not overdone. Our bartender was fantastic—shoutout to Morgan (with the backpack) for keeping it genuine!

My friends and I met at the Lake of the Ozarks since we don't get to see each other often. After a long day of hiking and sightseeing, we stopped by on Saturday evening and were thrilled with both the service and the food. The outdoor view was stunning, but it was a bit chilly, so we decided to move inside. The interior had a cozy and charming atmosphere, and our waitress was incredibly sweet and attentive. Our meals arrived promptly, and each of us enjoyed the perfect glass of wine. If you happen to be in the area, I highly recommend the whiskey apple cider! Our waitress mentioned she had just made it, and it was absolutely delicious—she was definitely right! We will definitely be returning!

The location was beautiful, but the service left a lot to be desired. I went there to celebrate my birthday on Saturday, October 14, 2023. We arrived around 7 PM only to find out that the wine tasting had ended at 6:30 PM, and it felt like we were treated differently because of it. While the waitress was really kind and helpful, the man in charge was quite rude. I asked the waitress about different drink options, and she was very accommodating, but then he intervened and instructed her to only serve us one round of drinks. He looked at me and my friends as if we didn't belong there, which was quite off-putting. It felt disrespectful to limit our service in a way that suggested we should leave. Interestingly, a group that arrived after us received much better service. Although the waitress was lovely, the behavior of the man in charge was disappointing.

Best winery in all the Ozarks. Good food, good service, beautiful location, and fantastic wine! If you’re looking for a place to wine and dine, this is it.
