The Hayes - Lake Hayes Estate

Very nice neighbourhood cafe bistro that serves cafe food and drinks like Frozen Magarita which was served half the glass, smaller portions than most places. Fish Chips was yummy along with the Salt Pepper Squid Rings. Parking can be crowded on weekends though.

Yummy food and amazing service. We went a bit later at like 8ish pm and the staff were very kind and understanding.

The food here was very good and we especially appreciated this place having the version of ketchup that is served in America as we are not a fan of the jammy ketchup that is typically served in NZ. We had fish and chips and the chicken sandwich with shoestring fries (like McDonald’s fries). Both were large and delicious portions. I would eat here again for sure.

Best local restaurant. Nice to deal with the ownet. Premium service.

Nice place, the steak promotion on Thursday night, totally worth it.
