フィードバックを提供するWe ate dinner at the Lake Clear Lodge this past week. Kathy Ernie offer a German themed night that we adore. The night starts in the real 1920's speakeasy, where Einstein ventured. They offer delicious, authentic speakeasy drinks and ambiance. The speakeasy has the lodge feel, with all of the magic of the Adirondacks. The music is often old-timey as well, transporting you back to over a century ago. The staff take great care to sanitize the tables, menus and area. We saw first-hand how they cater to each detail to ensure safety of their dinner guests. Guests are told to wear masks anytime they are up from their tables, and tables have been set to be further apart, with windows open for increased natural air flow. Finally, we were invited upstairs for our 3 course meal. The dining room offers beautiful views of the over-100-acres the lodge sits on. The dining room is adorned with unique Adirondack style plate wear, and cups. The food is all farm-fresh, and absolutely delicious. At $40 a plate, it is well worth the price tag. This is the best German food I have ever experienced. The service that the Lodge offers is one-of-a-kind. My family has been going here since 1976 (really, no joke), and we go each year for a beautiful night out. We will be back next year, as always!
Proprietors,Cathy and Ernest, were wonderful! If you are a beer lover, you will love Ernest his eclectic beer cellar! Cathy makes the most delicious strudel we even asked for some to take home and she baked it fresh the morning we left wow! We stayed at the Sundown cabin because we had our furry son Wally with us. As a dog lover, I very much appreciate it when establishments can accommodate us . Beautiful trails on the property for long walks. There are no TVs or wi fi in the room so either be prepared to use data or take this time to disconnect
Stayed here over the summer through a living social deal. The deal stipulated that we stay in the main house which was nice as it was not crowded. There were a number of chalet houses on the grounds that I would definitely like to take advantage of next time. The room was spacious and comfortable no TV but we knew what we were getting into. The grounds are very beautiful we biked on the trails and took out the kayaks on Lake Clear. The food is truly outstanding. Owners, Ernest and Kathy really make you feel welcome and comfortable. I was blown away by Ernest's beer cellar and Kathy does literally ALL the meals. Her food was so good we took two strudels home with us. It's definitely a unique spot where you can relax and enjoy all that the Adirondacks have to offer.
Think twice before booking this place for a family or business gathering. Simply put, they are disorganized and poor at planning and communicating. Many of the positive reviews here suggest they are okay when dealing with small groups or diners. I would also love to support them, given that it is a local, family-owned business. But nevertheless, if you're considering staying here, be warned that the lack of organization is a liability and can really set you back in time, money, and a good Adirondack experience.
Not bad. Could be better. Come hungry there's a lot of food and if you like beer this is the place to be.
