Cana Roca - Lajes das Flores

It’s Roman Style thin crust pizza which is my favorite. I prefer this over Napoli thick crust any day. I think everyone who comes here doesn’t expect it to be so good being that it’s such a remote island. The staff are all so lovely and warm and the pizza came out way faster than what I’ve been experiencing since landing on the Azores. Taste wise is honestly really good!!! The dough is very typical well made Roman style. Highly highly recommend.

I have been going to Cana Roca for a number of years and can’t recommend it enough. It is a must try for anyone visiting Flores. Their Pizzas are some of the best I have tried, with such variety and options available. The family are from Rome where they have another restaurant, coming to Flores to enjoy more of nature. They offer other regional dishes including wonderful pastas, antipasto, supli and other Italian meat main courses. They import a lot of ingredients from Italy as well as wines and beers to complete your experience. The cheese is homemade included the mozzarella and Gorgonzola! It’s always a pleasure to go to Cana Roca and honestly run by one of the nicest, supportive families on the island. Enjoy your experiences as much as I have.

Lekker gegeten voor een goede prijs. Binnen was alleen plaats voor mensen die gereserveerd hadden. Buiten konde we gelukkig zonder reservatie gaan zitten. Bediening was vriendelijk.

If you want to eat true italian pizza, this place is the right choice. Waitress was very nice.
