O Barco - Lagoa

Excellent fresh food and service. Given its fantastic location we thought this might be an overpriced tourist trap restaurant. We were wrong. We had excellent fresh fish perfectly cooked. Delicious fresh oysters. 55euros for a sea bass plenty big enough for 3 and beautifully cooked with fresh veg and great salad. House wine was good and good value. Service was friendly and efficient. Will definitely return when we’ve in the area again.

Stunning food, everything was fresh and tasty. Great customer service, the staff are very friendly. Would highly recommend.

Atmosphere is great. The food however was mediocre. As mains we had the fish and prawns in a rich cream sauce and grilled fish of the day. The grilled fish was not grilled. It was fried in a pan and very greasy. Veggies ok. The prawns were overcooked and not cleaned. Not nice when its in a creamy sauce and you need to clean it yourself. Also there were too many waiters at our table. Asking how it is and wanting to pour wine every two minutes. You think its service but it just annoying. Divide the terrace in sections with each its own waiter would be my suggestion. The place looks nice and you think about a nice evening but we left the place after a little more than an hour. Not worth the 110 Euros. To end on a positive; the bisque and pata negra for starters were nice.

We had dinner, fish soup as a starter, sea bass as a main. Everything was prepared well, very delicious. The service was spot on. If time allows, we will be back. Highly recommended.

O terraço tem uma vista linda. Bifes são médios, o peixe era bom. Apenas um pouco caro no geral.
