Our group of 4 had a wonderful time celebrating my wife’s birthday. Our server Cade was very knowledgeable of the menu and was very helpful as we guided through both the menu and our meal. The food was outstanding! All of the courses were brought out at the right times and were all prepared to the right temps. We would highly recommend eating at the Half Shell Oyster House Lafayette.

Hey there, Oyster Lovers.. Wanna Suck, I mean, slurp these off the 1/2 shell with me? Over here at the Half Shell Oyster House, I am never disappointed and you won’t be either. Matter of fact, the taste alone is an aphrodisiac in my opinion and everyone else I have came with or have taken out with me. These have to be the FRESHEST EVER!!

The bartender (Brooke) was super nice. I had some oysters who were very big and good. The voodoo Shrimp Po' Boy for lunch was also great. It came out quickly. I always appreciate a smaller portion of lunch, but today the whole thing disappeared. The Turnip greens were a very tasty and beautiful side option, but they had many others as well as a Sweet Potato Cream Brulee' that sound unique and funny.

The charbroiled oysters were amazing..only kinda small. We had the oyster sampler, but the charbroiled and new orleans style.was my favorite. I had the redfish, which was also delicious... as for starters, small portions for the price, but all good (crab claws, crab and shrimp dip, crab beignets, and crab cakes) ..the service was great! I'll definitely go again!
