Eggspectation Complex Desjardins

Having read all the reviews and seen the rating I had great eggspectations of this place - only to be completely let down. The food was cold, the Service poor - our toast did not arrive until we had all but finished. The Americanos were dreadful and the filter coffee worse. They seemed seriously under staffed and there were a lot of dishes being returned to the kitchen.Hope you have better luck

I visited early on a Sunday morning, restaurant wasn't busy and was sat right away. Another diner was working on a laptop and another reading the newspaper. It was a relaxing place to have coffee and the waiter was always around checking if I needed more. I visited Montreal and bagels were recommended so I ordered Lox on Bagel. I could tell the bagels were fresh and local and tasted the slight sweetness. I cleaned the plate and was happy to get a full breakfast for the day of sightseeing and doing lots of walking. Wonderful atmosphere.

Great food; great service. My favourite breakfast restaurant in Montreal. And they have great food selections for lunch and dinner, too. Eggcelent! :-)

If you want a light breakfast, with all the diet that goes with it, NOT THE PLACE to go. Great heavy breakfast. all what is good, not healthy, but SO good :)))
