Beard Papa - La Jolla

I had a truly one-of-a-kind experience at this restaurant with freshly made pastries. I tried the s'mores cream puff with vanilla filling. Just a heads up, it can get a bit messy when eating, so be cautious.

I visited Bart Papas around 7:48 PM excited to try their cream puffs. There were two customers ahead of me and when it was my turn to order, the young lady at the counter was very rude. I asked for a latte with milk and 4 chocolates, but she said that was all they had left. When I asked for no more chocolate, she rudely stated that they were closing at 8 o'clock. I ended up ordering a strawberry instead. I noticed that she made my latte and my friend's with full milk, but then mistakenly made two Vietnamese coffees. After correcting her, we ended up with two iced Vietnamese coffees with milk. We just wanted a simple warm drink to enjoy on our evening walk. The cream puffs were nothing special and the cream was not delicious. I have had better ones at other bakeries. Overall, the experience was a failure, especially when the employee was rude.

This is the most delicious cream puff I've ever tried. Make sure to order the green tea flavor.

Fresh puff pastries with different flavors. You can get minis and regular sized. Our fave combo was the strawberry crust with strawberry creme really good!!

Its so light and airy perfectly baked puff pastry. We got the ube and s'mores flavored puffs and they were amazing. Hope you put more stores around
